Movement Therapy

More than just Pilates

In Movement Therapy, I focus on rebalancing the body’s systems to release tension and promote healing. By identifying the areas of the body that require attention, I help my clients regain mobility, reduce pain and restore energy. Throughout this process, I teach my clients how to understand and take ownership of their own pain and fatigue so that they leave with a ‘suitcase’ of tools they can use to support their continued and future wellbeing.

This detailed works brings fast results for professional and amateur athletes alike. Often in order to excel at our chosen sport we need to rewire compensatory patterns to balance the communication between the brain and the body- and that is exactly what we do in the Pomme Studio.

No More Back Pain

Whether your pain is from an accident (specific pain) or from other causes (non-specific pain), the treatment is often the same.

As a Movement Therapist, it’s helpful for me to know about your falls, accidents, and MRI results. However, what I really need to know is exactly where you feel pain or discomfort, during which activities you feel it, and at what time of day.

This information helps me figure out how to balance your body to alleviate the pain. I can then identify where you’re avoiding movement and where compensatory tissues are being overused because of the pain.
